Soil - Peat / Perlite is the best

I wouldn't use melcourt grow bark.

Stratification - This is achieved by sowing the seed outdoors/cold greenhouse November - March aiming for 6 weeks stratification..

If you buy seed at other times you will need to do the fridge cold/damp stratification. This can also be achieved by adding some slightly damp peat/sphagnum moss to the bag of seed, give a shake and place in the fridge for 6 weeks, then sow on your chosen carnivorous plant medium.
